Kiss - Unplugged ACOUSTIC EXPO 2014: As a series - or 'strand', if we're going to be pedantic - goes, MTV's Unplugged has not just been successful, it's literally saved careers, inspired countless numbers to 'go acoustic' and borne one or two bonafide classic albums along the way. 6 hours of footage plus audio commentary by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley!! Here it is everything you ever wanted in one box! Remastered and restored, “Kissology, Volume One” is the definitive visual KISS collection, never-before-seen footage, full concerts and rare TV appearances. Re-edited re-release of the first part of “The Ultimate KISS Collection” + "Live In Capital Center" bonus DVD by the legendary American Glam Rock/Hard Rock band. KISS was ranked by MTV as the ninth "Greatest Metal Band of All Time", and placed tenth on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list, as well as being ranked as the third "Best Metal and Hard Rock Live Band of All Time" by Loudwire. On April 10, 2014, the four original members of KISS were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Band has 14 Platinum albums, with three albums being multi-Platinum. Thats what the Come & Get It singer shared on the radio when asked about her current relationship status. KISS also holds the title as America's #1 Gold record award-winning band of all time, having earned 30 Gold albums. KISS is one of the best-selling bands of all the time, having sold more than 75 000 000 records worldwide, including 25 000 000 RIAA-certified albums. It is the first live album by the band that is not part of the "Alive" series. ![]() Fan reaction to Criss and Frehley at the show was so positive that, in 1996, the original lineup of KISS reunited, with all four original members together for the first time since 1979. It was the first time Singer had part of a lead vocal on an album (shared with Criss on "Nothin' to Lose"). It marked the only time the original lineup performed publicly without their trademark makeup, and was also the only time Frehley and Criss shared a stage with Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons contacted former members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley and invited them to participate. On August 9, 1995, the band performed on MTV Unplugged. However, things get a little miserable when they pull out two overwrought ballads, "I Still Love You" and "Every Time I Look at You," toward the end of the 15-song CD.Re-release of the fourth live album by legendary American Glam/Hard Rock band. Songs like "Comin' Home," "Sure Know Something," "See You Tonight," and "Goin' Blind" sound amazing in the acoustic format. The rest of the album, featuring only the current lineup, has some great moments when Kiss's songwriting prowess really shines through. Though the four original members play together on only two tunes ("2,000 Man" and the first real acoustic guitar version of their hit "Beth"), the two tracks ("Rock and Roll All Nite" and "Nothin' to Lose") on which they're joined by current members-drummer Eric Singer and guitarist Bruce Kulick-are also magical. Details: Amazon.ca The highlight of this MTV gig is the cover of the Stones' "2,000 Man," which Kiss covered on Dynasty.
